Terms of Use
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These Terms are the agreement between you and GrailRoute Inc. for using GrailRoute — the website at grailroute.com and our apps. Please read them; by creating an account or using GrailRoute you accept them.
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
GrailRoute is operated by GrailRoute Inc. ("GrailRoute", "we", "us"), a company based in Quebec, Canada. These Terms apply to everyone who uses GrailRoute, whether or not you have an account.
These documents also form part of the agreement and are linked at the bottom of every page:
- the Privacy Policy, which explains what personal information we collect and how we use it;
- the Community Guidelines, which set out how everyone is expected to behave;
- the Vendor and Organizer Terms, which apply in addition if you sell at shows or run a show.
2. What GrailRoute is — and what it isn't
GrailRoute helps collectors find trading cards and collectibles at in-person shows, helps vendors list the inventory they are bringing, and gives show organizers tools to run their shows (floor maps, tables, tickets, check-in and messaging).
GrailRoute is a meeting place, not a store. We don't buy, sell, own, hold, inspect, grade or ship any item listed on GrailRoute. When you buy a card at a show, your contract is with the vendor who sells it to you, not with us. When you buy a ticket or rent a table, the show is run by its organizer, not by us.
We work hard to keep GrailRoute accurate and available, but we can't promise that a listed item is still available, that a price is current, or that the service will be uninterrupted.
3. Accounts, age and parents
You can browse parts of GrailRoute without an account. Some features — wishlists, messages, checking in, listing inventory, running a show — need one.
- If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for how you use GrailRoute. Whether a young collector uses GrailRoute is up to their parent or guardian.
- If you are under 14, your parent or guardian must also consent to the collection and use of your personal information, as Quebec law requires, and should supervise the account.
- You must be 18 or older to apply as a vendor, list items for sale, organize a show or act as show staff.
Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. Keep your password private and tell us right away if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
4. Using GrailRoute
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use GrailRoute in line with these Terms. In particular, you agree not to:
- break the law, or the Community Guidelines;
- list, sell or promote counterfeit, stolen, misrepresented or illegal items;
- harass, threaten, scam or impersonate anyone;
- collect other users' personal information, or use it for anything other than the show or conversation it was shared for;
- send spam or unsolicited commercial messages;
- copy, scrape or resell GrailRoute's content or data by automated means, or try to get around our security or usage limits;
- interfere with the service, or upload anything that contains malware.
5. Buying and selling at shows
Sales of cards and collectibles happen directly between the buyer and the vendor, usually in person at the show. The vendor is responsible for the item, its description, condition, grade and authenticity, its price, and any taxes. Your rights as a buyer — including the legal warranty under Quebec law — are against the vendor.
Inspect an item before you pay for it. Ask the vendor about anything you are unsure of.
Market values, price history and card images on GrailRoute come from third-party sources and from vendors. They are estimates for information only, may be inaccurate or out of date, and are not an appraisal or an offer.
Showing that a card is "in stock" or on someone's table reflects what the vendor listed. Items can sell before you arrive.
6. Shows, tickets and tables
Each show is organized by its organizer, who is responsible for the event: its date, venue, safety, admission, table assignments and the refund policy shown when you buy a ticket or apply for a table.
At this time, payments for tickets and vendor tables are made to the organizer directly; GrailRoute does not charge your card. If that changes, we will say so on the checkout screen before you pay.
If a show is changed or cancelled, the organizer's refund policy and the law determine what you are owed. Our Resolution Center can help you and an organizer reach a solution, but the organizer remains responsible for refunds.
7. Fees
GrailRoute is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features later. If we do, we will show the price clearly before you choose to pay, and you will never be charged for something you did not agree to.
8. Your content
"Your content" means what you put on GrailRoute: your profile, photos, listings, wishlists, messages, reviews and reports. You keep ownership of it.
You give GrailRoute a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, resize a photo) and display your content, only as needed to operate, improve and promote GrailRoute. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other users already received (such as a message you sent) and backups that are overwritten on a regular cycle.
Only post content you have the right to post. Photos of items you are actually selling are welcome; artwork or images copied from others without permission are not.
We may remove or restrict content that breaks these Terms or the law, or that we reasonably believe puts people at risk.
9. Chat, messages and safety
Show chat rooms can be read by signed-in users, and the organizer of a show can moderate its rooms. Private messages are visible to the people in the conversation. We don't read conversations routinely, but we may review messages that are reported to us, or when the law or someone's safety requires it.
Use the Block and Report tools if someone bothers you. Never send passwords, card numbers or money transfers to people you meet on GrailRoute, and meet at the show rather than somewhere private.
10. Location features
Finding shows near you, checking in at a show and "take me there" on a floor map can use your device's location. They only do so if you allow it in your browser or app, and you can turn it off at any time in your device settings. GrailRoute works without it; you can search by city or postal code instead.
11. Our intellectual property, and other people's
GrailRoute's name, logo, design and software belong to us or our licensors. Apart from the right to use GrailRoute described in these Terms, you get no rights in them.
Card names, game names and logos such as Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece and Digimon are trademarks of their respective owners. GrailRoute is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by them. Card data and images are provided by third-party sources for identification.
12. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on GrailRoute infringes your copyright, email info@grailroute.com with: who you are and how to reach you, the work you own, a link to the content, and a statement that you are the owner or authorized to act for them and that the information is accurate. We will review it, may remove the content, and will tell the person who posted it. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.
13. Closing your account, suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. An organizer with an unresolved refund case on one of their shows can delete their account once that case is settled.
We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if it breaks these Terms or the law, puts other people at risk, involves fraud, or if we are required to. Where it is reasonable and safe to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
14. Other services
GrailRoute uses and links to services we don't control, such as maps, payment processors and card-data providers. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them.
15. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, GrailRoute is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties beyond those the law imposes. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a warranty or right you have under the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec) or any other law that cannot be excluded by contract.
16. Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for transactions between users, for the conduct of vendors, organizers or other users, or for the accuracy of listings and price information supplied by others.
Where the law allows a limit, our total responsibility to you for any claim related to GrailRoute is the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and CAD $100.
These limits never apply to bodily or moral injury, to damage caused intentionally or through gross fault, or where the law — including the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec) for consumers — does not allow them.
17. Vendors and organizers: responsibility for your activity
If you use GrailRoute as a vendor or organizer, you are responsible for claims by third parties arising from your listings, your sales, your shows or your breach of these Terms, and you agree to indemnify us for them to the extent the law allows. This section does not apply to you when you are acting as a consumer.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as GrailRoute changes. If we change a term in a way that matters, we will email you and show a notice on GrailRoute at least 30 days before the change takes effect, with the new wording and the date it applies. If you don't agree, you can close your account at no cost before that date. If you keep using GrailRoute after that date, the new Terms apply.
19. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first at info@grailroute.com — most problems can be solved quickly that way.
Any dispute will be heard by the competent courts of the Province of Quebec. If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim before the court of the district where you live, and nothing in these Terms limits your right to take part in a class action or to go to court.
20. Language
These Terms and the related documents are available in French and in English. Both versions are equally valid. Ces conditions et les documents connexes sont offerts en français et en anglais.
21. General
These Terms, with the documents listed in section 1, are the whole agreement between you and us about GrailRoute. If a part of them is found invalid, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a right right away, we haven't given it up. We may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over GrailRoute, and will tell you if we do.
