Community Guidelines
Last updated: October 7, 2026
GrailRoute works because collectors, vendors and organizers can trust each other. These rules apply everywhere on GrailRoute — profiles, listings, show chat, private messages and giveaways — and to how you treat people you meet through it.
Be respectful
- No harassment, bullying, threats or intimidation, in public rooms or private messages.
- No hate speech or attacks on anyone based on who they are — including race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- No sexual content, and nothing violent or graphic.
- Disagree about prices and grades all you like — politely.
Be honest about what you sell
- No counterfeits, proxies or reprints sold as genuine, and no stolen goods.
- Describe condition honestly, and disclose trimming, recolouring, cleaning, re-sealing or any other alteration.
- Only claim a grade the card actually has, from the company that graded it.
- Keep your listings current: mark items as sold, and honour the price you listed or update it.
- Photos must be of the actual item, or clearly labelled as stock images.
Keep deals and people safe
- Buy and sell in person at the show. Never ask for — or send — passwords, card numbers, gift cards or advance money transfers.
- Don't pressure anyone to move a deal or a conversation somewhere less safe.
- Don't share someone else's personal information (address, phone number, photos) without their permission.
- Don't impersonate another person, vendor, organizer or GrailRoute.
- No spam, chain messages or mass unsolicited promotion. Show organizers announcing their own show to people who joined it is fine.
Protect younger collectors
Young collectors use GrailRoute with their parents' permission. Adults must never ask a minor for personal contact details, photos or a meeting away from the show, or try to move a conversation with a minor off GrailRoute. We report child-exploitation concerns to the police.
Giveaways and contests
Run giveaways fairly and award the prize you promised. The vendor or organizer running a giveaway is responsible for following contest laws, including the rules of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for contests open to Quebec residents.
Report and block
If something breaks these rules, use Report on the profile, listing or message — reports go to the GrailRoute team, not to the person you report. Use Block to stop someone contacting you. Organizers can remove messages and mute people in their own show's chat.
For anything urgent or about your safety, also contact local police. You can reach us at info@grailroute.com.
What happens when rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, warn you, mute you, suspend your account or close it. Fraud, counterfeits and anything that endangers someone can lead to an immediate, permanent ban. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and we'll take another look.
