Vendor and Organizer Terms
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These terms apply in addition to the Terms of Use when you list inventory as a vendor, run a show as an organizer, or work a show as staff. They describe what people buying from you and attending your show are counting on.
1. Who can sell or organize
You must be 18 or older and able to enter into a binding contract. If you act for a business, you confirm you are authorized to bind it, and the business is responsible under these terms too. The information you give about yourself or your business must be accurate.
2. GrailRoute's role
GrailRoute Inc. provides the tools: listings, floor maps, tables, tickets, check-in and messaging. We are not a party to your sales, your show, or your agreements with vendors, collectors or venues, and we don't act as your agent. GrailRoute is currently free for vendors and organizers; if we introduce fees we will tell you in advance and you will only pay for what you choose.
3. If you are a vendor
- You are the seller. You are responsible for your items being genuine, legally yours to sell and accurately described — condition, grade, grading company and any alterations.
- Keep your inventory current. Remove or mark items sold, and honour the prices you list or update them before you sell.
- You are responsible for your sales, your receipts, the taxes on them (such as GST/QST), and any permit or licence your activity needs.
- Buyers keep the rights the law gives them, including the legal warranty of quality under Quebec law, and you must respect them.
- Follow the organizer's rules for their show, including set-up times and table assignments.
4. If you are an organizer
- You are responsible for your show: accurate dates, times, venue and admission details; the venue, its safety and accessibility; and any permits and insurance the event requires.
- Publish a clear refund policy for tickets and tables, and honour it. If a show is changed or cancelled, tell attendees and vendors promptly through GrailRoute.
- Payments for tickets and tables are made to you directly at this time. You are responsible for collecting them, issuing receipts, the taxes on them, and refunds.
- Respond to cases opened in the Resolution Center in good faith and within the times it shows.
- You are responsible for the people you add as show staff and what they do with the access you give them.
- Moderate your show's chat fairly. The tools to remove messages and mute people are for keeping the room safe and on topic, not for silencing fair criticism.
5. Personal information you receive
Through GrailRoute you may see attendees' and vendors' names, emails, wishlists, applications and check-ins. Use them only to run your show or serve your buyers, keep them secure, and don't sell or share them. Don't send commercial email to people who haven't agreed to receive it — Canada's anti-spam legislation (CASL) applies. Delete what you no longer need. If you learn that information you received has been lost or misused, tell us right away.
6. Giveaways
If you run a giveaway, you are responsible for its rules, for choosing winners fairly, for delivering the prize, and for complying with contest laws — including filing requirements and duties with the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for contests open to Quebec residents.
7. Removal and suspension
We may remove a listing or a show, or suspend selling or organizing, if it breaks these terms, the Terms of Use, the Community Guidelines or the law, or puts buyers or attendees at risk. Where it is reasonable and safe, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first.
